How much will the audit cost?

Depends on who you believe, Mayor Lowery or the Missouri State Auditor.

In a May, 2008 press release Mayor Lowery claims a state audit of Florissant will cost the city between $25,000 and $30,000.  However, on the petition form the estimated cost is listed between $16,000 and $24,000.  Considerably less than Mayor Lowery claims.  The petition form was provided to organizers by the Missouri State Auditor's Office.  Mayor Lowery also claims an audit by the State is unnecessary - for more information including why we are asking please see the Audit FAQ page.
