Executive Session |
|
·
Before a Council meeting, there may be an Executive Session. The
Mayor and Council discuss present and future issues. These
Sessions are for discussion purposes only. |
|
·
Council will conduct the Executive Session in the little conference room
adjacent to the Council Chambers. |
|
·
The Executive Session agendas are posted at
Florissant
City Hall. They are not posted online with the Council agenda. |
|
· These
Sessions are open to the public. If too many citizens attend an
Executive Session and cannot fit in the small Council room, the Council
can have the courtesy to move the Session to the Council Chambers. |
|
· A
portion of an Executive Session may be closed to the public but only if
it pertains to personnel issues, litigation or real estate and it should
be listed on the Executive Session agenda. If this happens the Council
will ask the public to please step out for that portion of the Session. |
|
· The
Session begins at various times so it would be best to call City Hall at
921-5700, to get the correct Session time. |
|

|
Council Meetings |
|
· The
Florissant City Council meets the 2nd and 4th Mondays at 8 p.m. at City
Hall, 955 rue St. Francois. The Friday before each meeting the agenda is
posted at City Hall and online by
clicking
here. |
|
·
At the beginning of every Council meeting there is a time set aside for
"Hearing from Citizens" where anyone (resident or not) can speak, for up
to three minutes, on any topic except Public Hearings, being heard later
in the meeting. |

Broadcasts of Council Meetings |
|
·
If you can not make it in person, the council meetings are televised
live on cable Channel 10, and re-aired the Tuesday and Wednesday
following the meeting at
1:00 p.m. and
6:00 p.m.
It is suggested you tape the live meetings on Monday nights due to
editing that has occurred in the past in the re-broadcasts. |
